Looks like I am very lucky to be alive today. Last Thursday we had a hail storm from about 8pm till 9pm, so knowing the prevailing weather pattern I took the long way from home into work. Lucky me, for about 5 minutes after leaving mom called me on the cell phone to report that the power went out where we live. Anyway, to make a long story short, we ran the time line back from the news story (which no one here received due to the power being knocked out) but our farmer who lives several miles away and had power at the time did recieve. Well, had a bit of a personal setback, was in and out of the hospital last week (Saturday 1/24/09 till 1/28/09). It all started Wednesday of that week, when I was supposed to go to work. I wasn't feeling well so I called in, same with the next night and Friday night was visiting mom and she noticed that I didn't look good so she took my temp. It came out to 102.8º F, no idea what that is in C, so I called in again. Next morning when I went for a morning bath shooting pain erupted from my shin of my right leg which I was kneeling down upon. I guess I got my answer to my last journal, they leave us hanging because they know they can. For days on end if they feel like it. But upon hearing from them, us poor subbies come running and all is forgiven (grumbling). They don't even have to be present and they are controlling us. But I guess that is the way it is meant to be for those of us who take this road. At least she doesn't seem to be a want-to-be dominant but the real deal. Just waiting till the meeting date, Monday week, to talk over dinner is going to be a pain. Probably won't get to play for another week or three, depending on trust factor and each of our schedules.
